This standard applies to three-phase asynchronous motors for voltages above 1000 V with squirrel-cage or phase-wound rotor designed for operation from alternating current mains with a frequency of 50 or 60 Hz, manufactured for the needs of the national economy or for export to countries with moderate or tropical climate. This standard does not apply to special motors, for example, explosion-proof, submersible or mine hoist motors. This standard fits for the purposes of certification. |
