Description
|
This standard applies to information technology equipment (ITE) according to the definition of ITE given in 3.1. Standards and procedures are given for the measurement of the industrial radio disturbances (IRD) generated by the ITE for the frequency range 0,15 MHz to 6 GHz for both class A and class B equipment. No measurements need be performed at frequencies where no limits are specified. The intention of this standard is to establish uniform requirements for IRD of the equipment contained in the scope of this standard, to fix limits of disturbance, to describe methods of measurement and to standardize operating conditions at tests and interpretation of results. Any equipment (or part of the ITE equipment) which has a primary function of radio transmission and/or reception according to of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Radio Regulations are excluded from the scope of this publication. Note – Any equipment which has a function of radio transmission and/or reception according to the definitions of the ITU Radio Regulations should fulfil the national radio regulations, whether or not this publication is also valid. This standard does not cover the equipment for which the IRD levels for the frequency range 0,15 MHz to 6 GHz are set in other interstate standards developed on the base of international standards IEC and CISPR. |
