This standard is applicable to food and animal feeding stuffs and specifies methods for the detection and the enumeration of the most probable number of viable presumptive Bacillus cereus. This method is inadequate to distinguish between Bacillus cereus and other closely related Bacillus species such as Bacillus weihenstephanensis, Bacillus anthracis, Bacillus thuringiensis, Bacillus mycoides and Bacillus pseudomycoides. |
