New GOST guidelines for quality management in projects
18 September 2020
The national standard GOST R ISO 10006-2019 “Quality Management. Guidelines for quality management in projects” will come into force from October 1, 2020. These guidelines are intended for a wide audience and apply to various forms of projects.
The new standard provides guidelines for quality management in projects. It defines the principles and practices of quality management, the implementation of which is significant and affects the achievement of quality objectives in projects.
The standard is applicable to organizations working on projects of varying complexity, small or large, short- or longterm, individual projects or projects within a program or portfolio of projects, in various environments and regardless of the type of product and service or process involved in order to satisfy the project stakeholders by implementing quality management in projects. This may require project-specific adaptation of the guidelines.
GOST R ISO 10006-2019 provides guidelines for quality in project management processes. Two concepts "quality management in projects" and "quality management systems in projects" are considered. These concepts are delimited by separate descriptions.
