New GOST standard on materials for additive manufacturing in construction
17 February 2021
The national standard GOST R 59095-2020 “Materials for additive manufacturing in construction. Terms and definitions” will come into force from April 1, 2021.
The standard establishes terms and definitions of concepts in the field of materials used in additive manufacturing technologies, which are based on the additive principle of manufacturing building structures, i.e. on the creation of physical features by successively adding material.
The new standard is intended to provide a basic understanding of the fundamental principles of additive manufacturing in construction and to introduce, based on them, a clear terminology in the field of materials for additive manufacturing.
The terms established by GOST R 59095-2020 are recommended for use in design, working and technical documentation of all types, scientific and technical, educational and reference literature.
