New GOST standards will ensure traceability of aircraft components

Russian national standards GOST R 59002-2020, GOST R 59003-2020, GOST R 59004-2020 were approved, aimed at creating a traceability system for aircraft components.
New standards:
GOST R 59002-2020 Identification and traceability of aircraft products. Basic provisions,
GOST R 59003-2020 Bar code symbols on aircraft products. Data composition and format,
GOST R 59004-2020 Radio frequency tags on aircraft products. Data composition and format
apply to civil aviation products, including airplanes, helicopters and their component parts (aircraft engines, propellers, units and systems, as well as their components and components) and establish provisions in the field of the structure of technologies and means of automatic identification of aircraft components based on barcodes and radio frequency tags and ensure the traceability of aircraft components using automatic identification technologies in product lifecycle management systems.
The introduction of the standards will help to improve the efficiency of control over the authenticity of aviation equipment, create an automated system for the traceability of aircraft components from production to disposal, create a system for countering the circulation of counterfeit aircraft products, automate logistics operations in supply chains, and improve the quality of operation and after-sales service of such products due to the automation of information operations with products in the processes of maintenance, logistics, repair and other work with aircraft products.
