This standard applies to enamels XB-124 representing a suspension of pigments in a solution of a mid-viscosity polyvinyl chloride chlorinated resin ПСХ-ЛС (PSC-LS) and an alkyd resin in a mixture of volatile organic solvents with the addition of a plasticizer. Enamels are intended for painting primed metal surfaces, as well as wooden surfaces, operated in atmospheric conditions. The retention time of protective and decorative properties by the coating in temperate, tropical and cold climate shall be in accordance with GOST 9.401. The coating system consisting of three layers of enamel XB-124 applied to the primed surface shall retain the protective properties in temperate climate for 6 years to a point of max. A31. The coating system consisting of four layers of XB-124 enamel applied to a surface phosphated and primed with two layers of ФЛ-03К (FL-03K) primer (GOST 9109), should retain its protective properties in tropical climate for 3 years to a point of no more than A31. The coating system consisting of three layers of enamel XB-124 applied to the surface primed with AK-070 primer (GOST 25718) or ВЛ-02 (VL-02) primer (GOST 12707) with aluminum powder, should retain its protective properties in cold climate for 4 years to points not more than A31 (assessment of protective properties - according to GOST 9.407). Enamels are applied to the surface by spraying. The requirements of 1.2.3, Table 2 regarding to the "hiding power of the dried film", "drying time to degree 5", "resistance to static effects of water and industrial oil" parameters are recommended, the other requirements are mandatory. |
