The current standard applies to food products and establishes the methods for determination of quantity of mesophilic aerobes and facultative anaerobes (bacteria, yeasts and molds): the method of seeding in agar culture medium and the method of most probable number (MPN). The method for determination of quantity of mesophilic aerobes and facultative anaerobes by seeding in agar culture medium is used for food products, which contain in 1 g of their solid substance more than 150 or in 1 cm 3 of their liquid substance more than 15 colony-forming units (CFU) of mesophilic aerobes and facultative anaerobes. The method of most probable number of mesophilic aerobes and facultative anaerobes is used for food products which contain in 1 g of their solid substance more than 150 or in 1 cm 3 of their liquid substance fewer than 15 colony-forming units (CFU) of mesophilic aerobes and facultative anaerobes. |
