Description
|
This standard relates to woven, knitted and non-woven sheets and textile-haberdashery articles made from fibers and needles of all kinds and this standard specifies the methods for determination of hygroscopic (moisture content, hygroscopicity, water-yielding capacity, capillarity) and water-repellant properties of textile sheets. This standard shall not cover fabrics with a film coating (except for silk and semi-silk fabric) and fiber glass. The main terms and their explanations are given in Annex 1. Method for determination of resistance of fabric to penetration of water is applied under agreement between the manufacturer and the consumer and conducted according to ISO 811-81 (refer to Annex 3). |
