Description
|
This standard covers rolled plates, wide flats, general purpose rolled steel, rolled strips and shapes in steels of ordinary, higher and high strength (hereinafter referred to as rolled products) intended for sea and river vessels, offshore oil and gas rigs, floating hulls, wharfs and other welded structures (including for arctic service). This standard also applies to ingots, blooms, sheet bar, wrought, rolled and cast billets to the extent concerning requirements for chemical composition. Rolled products intended for construction of vessels and marine structures of a Register class (Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RMRS) and/or Russian River Register (RRR) shall be supplied under technical supervision of the Register. Rolled products shall be supplied by the factories certified by the Register as recognized manufacturers of particular grades, thicknesses of rolled products using particular manufacturing processes, with the certificate issued on the basis of certification tests under the program prepared by the Register. |
