1.1. Maximum allowable level (MAL) of hazardous substance on skin integument is the National hygienic specification used for monitoring of the level of hazardous substances on the personnel skin, designing of personal protective means and prevention of unfavorable influence by hazardous substances on health of personnel through development of processes, mechanisms and equipment. MAL is the quantity of hazardous substance over all surface of skin integument, which at daily (except the days off) work of 8 h and no more than 40 h per week during the whole occupational life shall not trigger diseases or affect health, detected by modern methods of examination in the course of work or in the remote terms of life of the present and succeeding generations. Effects of hazardous substances at MAL level do not eliminate the risk of aggravation of health for persons with hypersensitivity. |
