This standard establishes: - order and procedures for conducting certification tests of basic and welding new materials (hereinafter referred to as new materials) used in manufacture, installation and operation of equipment and pipelines (hereinafter referred to as products) of nuclear power plants, for which the safety requirements for atomic energy use are established; - list of properties and characteristics of new materials, determined in the process of certification tests, important to safety at all stages of the product life cycle; - requirements for research methods (including methods of testing, analysis and extrapolation of properties) used in the certification testing of new materials necessary to obtain and confirm their characteristics and properties; - requirements for presentation of the characteristics and properties of new materials for their use in calculations in justifying the safety of products at all stages of its life cycle. The standard is intended for use when conducting certification tests of new materials products. The standard should be applied by manufacturers of equipment and pipelines of nuclear power plants, installation and operating (repair) organizations, lead materials research organizations, testing laboratories (centers), specialized organizations, other organizations performing work and providing services in the field of atomic energy. |
