This Federal Code is aimed at provision of industrial safety, prevention of failures, accidents, production traumatism at the facilities when using equipment operating under a pressure of more than 0.07 MPa of: a) water, gas (in gaseous liquefied state); b) water at more than 115 °C; c) other liquids at temperatures exceeding their boiling temperature at an excessive pressure of 0.07 MPa. The present Federal Code is intended for application during process engineering, technical reequipment of hazardous production facilities and during arrangement, mounting, repair, reconstruction (modernization), setup and operation, technical inspection, technical diagnosis and industrial safety expert review of the following equipment operating under excessive pressure: a) steam boilers including boilers and water heaters, as well as independent steam superheaters and economizers; b) hot water and steam and hot water boilers; c) industrial power boilers: steam and hot water boilers including soda recovery boilers; d) waste-heat boilers (steam and hot water boilers); e) portable boilers and transportable units; f) steam and liquid boilers operating with high-temperature organic and inorganic heat transfer fluids; g) electric boilers; h) steam and hot water pipelines; i) gaseous, vaporous and liquid fluid transfer process pipelines; j) vessels operating under excessive pressure of steam, gases and liquids; k) cylinders intended for compressed, liquefied gases and gases dissolved under pressure; l) tanks and barrels for compressed and liquefied gases; m) tanks and vessels for compressed, liquefied gases, liquids and granular materials with an excessive pressure generated periodically for their discharge; n) pressure chambers. |
