Description
|
The present standard applies to Information Technology Equipment (ITE) as defined in 3.1. Procedures are given for the measurement of the levels of spurious signals generated by the ITE and limits are specified for the frequency range 0.15 to 1000 MHz for both class A and class B equipment. No measurements are required at frequencies, for which no limits are specified. The intention of this standard is to establish the uniform requirements for the radio disturbance levels of the equipment contained in the scope, to fix the limits of disturbance, to describe the methods of measurement and to standardize the operating conditions and interpretation of results. The present standard does not apply to the equipment, radio disturbance limits for which are explicitly covered by other state standards comprising requirements of IEC or CISPR publications. Any equipment (or part of ITE equipment), which has a primary function of radio transmission and / or reception in according to the ITU Radio Regulations are excluded from the scope of this publication. Note: Any equipment which has a function of radio transmission and/or reception according to the definitions of the ITU Radio Regulations shall comply with the national radio regulations, whether or not this publication is also valid. Requirements of the present standard are mandatory. The content of CISPR 22 -97 is given in block-letter type, while the additional requirements to CISPR 22 -97 reflecting the needs of the national economy are given in italics. |
