1.1. This Code of Practice applies to the design of new and reconstructed trunk pipelines and branch lines with nominal diameter up to and including DN 1400 with the pressure of transported fluid over 1,2 up to and including 10 MPa (for single lines and lines laid in corridors) for transportation of: а) oil, petroleum products (including stabilized condensate and stabilized gasoline), natural, petroleum and synthetic hydrocarbon gases from the areas of their recovery (production fields), production or storage to the locations of their use (tank farms, handling terminals, loading stations, gas distribution stations, individual industrial and agricultural facilities and sea or river ports); б) LPG C 3 and C 4 fractions and mixes thereof, unstabilized gasoline and petroleum gas condensate or other liquefied hydrocarbons with saturation vapour pressure at 40 °C not exceeding 1,6 MPa from the areas of their recovery (production fields) or production (main pumping station) to the locations of their use; в) commercial products within compressor stations, oil pumping stations, transfer pumping stations, underground gas storage depots, booster compressor stations, gas distribution stations and gas measuring stations; г) actuation, fuel and start gas for compressor, underground gas storage, booster compressor, gas distribution, gas measuring stations and gas pressure reduction stations (hereinafter referred to as GPRS). This Code of Practice does not apply to the design of pipelines passing on the territory of cities and other populated areas, except for trunk oil pipelines to be connected to refining, transfer and storage facilities, in offshore zones and production fields, as well as the pipelines intended for transportation of oil, petroleum products and liquefied petroleum gas corrosive towards the pipes metal or refrigerated below minus 40 °C. Pipelines for transportation of stabilized condensate and stabilized gasoline shall be designed in conformity with the requirements of this Code of Practice relative to oil pipelines. Stabilized condensate and stabilized gasoline include hydrocarbons and their mixes with saturated vapour pressure at 20 °C of less than 0,2 MPa (abs). 1.2. Design of pipelines for liquefied hydrocarbons with saturated vapour pressure at 20 °C over 0,2 MPa, such as liquefied petroleum gas, unstabilized gasoline and condensate, and other liquefied hydrocarbons shall be in conformity with the requirements of Clause 16. Buildings and facilities including process utilities located at the sites of compressor, booster, transfer pumping, gas distribution stations, underground gas storage facilities and booster compressor stations shall be designed in conformity with the requirements of relevant technical regulations, standards and other normative documents covering design of respective buildings and facilities taking into account the requirements of this Code of Practice. Gas pipelines with pressure of 1,2 MPa and less and pipelines for petroleum products with pressure up to 2,5 MPa to be laid on the territory of populated areas or individual facilities shall be designed in accordance with the requirements of SP 62.13330, SP 110.13330 and SP 125.13330, relevant technical regulations, standards and other normative documents. |
