The standard was developed on the basis of accumulated experience in improving the efficiency of activities in shipbuilding industry, taking into account the best world practice in application of lean production.

Rosstandart notifies about the approval of the standard GOST R 58966-2020 “Welded steel I-beams. Specifications. Assortment". The standard will come into force on January 1, 2021. The document was introduced by the Rosstandart Technical Committee TC 465 "Construction".
